Juri Umagami
BIO
Juri Umagami started painting at Usukubo Yuji Art Atelier in Tochigi, Japan when she was eight years old. In 2009, she moved to Los Angeles, California, to pursue her goal to be an artist and art instructor. She has been studying under master painter Cheryl Kline in her academy for several years, as well as with several other visiting masters to learn the techniques of classical figure drawing and painting and Renaissance painting. She currently assists Cheryl and teaches in several classes at Kline Academy of Fine Art. She received a B.F.A. from Otis College of Art and Design in the Fine Arts Program in May, 2017.
